Join the Fun!

We welcome new members to the Gilchrist County Woman Club! Our meetings are held at the Clubhouse on the second Thursday of the month from September to May. Meet & Greet starts at 6:00 followed by dinner at  6:30 pm, Committee updates and a Program/Activity. We typically end around 8:15-8:30 pm.

  • Prospects must complete a written application.

  • Prospects are reviewed and accepted by the Board of Directors.

  • Prospects become Active Members immediately upon Board acceptance and payment of $30 annual dues.

  • Each Club member participates on one of the following committees:

    • Community Outreach

      • Plans and implements activities serving our community

    •  Fundraising

      • Plans and manages all fundraising activities

    •  Welfare

      • Supports Club members

    •  Social

      • Plans and Hosts Christmas Party and  member events

    •  Membership

      • Recruits and welcomes new members

    •  House

      • Manages Clubhouse rentals and upkeep

    •  Arts & Crafts

      • Promotes member arts and crafts

    •  Publicity

      • Handles all Marketing/Publicity/Social Media activities

 

Member Responsibilities

 

  • Annual dues (currently $30) are payable at the May meeting for the next Club Year.

  • Each committee hosts one regular meeting each Club Year. Generally, committee members will supply or contribute toward the food, decorations, paper goods and door prizes.

  • Generally, members and guests do not pay for regular meeting meals. However, members and guests pay for the annual Christmas Social meal which is usually catered.

  • Members are expected to support Club projects and events, such as the BBQ Scholarship Lunch, Veterans’ Breakfast, Ayers brunch and other fundraisers. This may involve donating food, supplies and time.
